Good metro access, SFHs with yards, and a 30 minute or less commute to downtown. You're looking at adding an hour each way to your commute at similar price points in VA or MD. Grocery store situation isn't amazing but there's no reason not to have a car anyway if you're living there - plenty of driveways and garages or abundant free street parking. I honestly think it's nuts to pay $7-800K for a rowhouse somewhere like Ft. Lincoln where you'll have significantly worse transit access and still have to drive to get to a grocery store. Paying $300K extra to be able to say you're WOTR is ridiculous. [/quote]
