They aren't as focused on filling positions as they should be. It should be the very top priority and anything else that isn't essential should be shelved until they address it. Re-allocate money, cut non-classroom positions, and do whatever else it takes to attract teachers and retain the ones who are leaving. This is a problem everywhere. 
I can also tell you that vacancy list isn't complete. Our school is short three positions in different subjects that aren't even listed.[/quote]

My school has positions that aren't listed as well-this is how FCPS hides the issues. Schools can no longer staff --you can feel the chaos in these buildings. It's not good but people from all sides want to put their head in the sand about it....the problems are cyclical.[/quote]
