WTH are you doing if your underwear is showing in a maxi dress? Handstands?
My thought as well! I wear wrinkle-resistant gaucho pants/ palazzo pants for travel. They are a great compromise between skirt and pants. I travel in dresses as well and have no issue.
Weirdly I do not like the extra fabric in palazzo pants while traveling by plane but am fine with the extra fabric in a dress (and when I wear dresses to travel I gravitate towards loose baggy ones with quite a bit of extra fabric. I don't know exactly why this is but something about the way extra pant fabric can get in the way when I'm carrying bags but that the extra fabric in a drapey dress does not. One thing I really like about dresses for travel is just the feeling of zero constriction via a waistband or or anything fitted. Like my ideal travel dress is just kind of a sack dress not that different from a nightgown. Especially if I will need to sleep on the plane.
