[/quote] this may be true in other areas, but within DCPS, specifically Oyster, over 1/2 of the children in the K class were enrolled at Oyster for PreK. many of the children have been in full-day programs before - this is not about understanding the norms of the classroom - this is about having appropraite active observations from the teachers.
