Here's the chart that shows how quarter+MISA grades will be averaged.  If your kid has B's in both quarters, she'd have to get an E on the test to get a C in the semester; otherwise, she'll get a B as final semester grade no matter what.

Right, I was responding to the parent who was concerned about their kid who had "borderline B's" and was worried about the effects of the test on her semester grade.  The actual conversion of test performance to test grade remains unknown.[/quote]
