Amazing job, OP! Congrats! Have you tried taking measurements? Maybe start with some around the waist, the hip/butt, the arm, and the thigh. Since you've lost 40 pounds already, I'm sure you'll be able to lose more and then you'll be able to track changes in body circumference, even if you can't visually. Another thing you might want to do is start exercising, specifically weight training. This will help you retain/gain muscle mass, which is what really makes people look good. I've gained 2 lbs in the past year, but my stomach actually looks better because, after doing some sit ups every single day, now you can see some muscle definition and before it was just flab.
OP here. I don't have a tape measure though I've thought about getting one. I walk 8-10K a day generally, and do weights three times a week since last fall. The shape of my arms have changed and I notice when I lift heavy things arm muscles are engaged rather than back muscles. Funny you mention sit-ups - I was actually thinking of doing some sort of stomach stuff on my non-arm days.
Then don’t use a tape measure. Use string or ribbon. You can write the date and body part on the ribbon. When ever you’re feeling down you can pull out the waist ribbon from 20 pounds ago for motivation to keep going. It’s better not to have numbers. You will definitely see progress.
