Have you tried 1x. XXL and 2x are not the same. It technically goes L, XL, XXL, 1x, 2x, etc.
This. XXL is not 2x. The cut is completely different, and for those of us with boobs/bellies, it really does matter. Look at a size chart for whatever brand of shirt you were trying on, and note the differences. If you could get an XXL to look the way your 2x usually looks, it's because you lost weight! I'd suggest having some non-scale goals while you're working on "onederland" (if that's your aim). How's your mobility? Can you walk longer distances than when you started? Do you need fewer breaks? When I started losing weight (again), i noticed how much easier it was to breathe because my cardio health was improving much faster than my scale numbers were dropping. If it's just about the numbers, you'll be depressed. Look for the other wins and congratulate yourself on what you've accomplished so far. Then, keep going. One day at a time!
