Same reason for taking honors chem over regular chem or TJ over the home school. Or maybe they want to prepare for USChO, and AP would do a better job than honors.[/quote]

USAChO is self prep. School class is irrelevant. If you need a school class, USAChO isn't relevant to you. [/quote]
