You should look broadly and see for yourself which schools are a good match for your children.  A really helpful way to do this is to visit a huge variety in the Fall a full year before you plan to be in the application cycle (so 7th if applying out in 8th or 5th of applying out in 8th).  Doing this can help you see a lot of schools when you don't have all the other "noise" (and work!) of application cycle.  It gives you time to check out places you didn't consider before.  Some will still come down to "this is still a no for me" but others might surprise you.  You will also be more informed when you go back the following year to the schools that made the cut.  Sometimes revisiting those will solidify your favorites of the ones you choose to apply to.[/quote]
