 OP here. It’s 3 nights. My kid is telling me that clothing and shoes are likely to get super dirty. kids need to bring everything: sheets, blankets, pillows, 4 pairs of shoes, 5+ trash bags etc. [/quote]

Here's a picture from the Magnet website that explains how they get so dirty. The description of the trip says, "Sophomores can also look forward to the overnight trip to Wallops Island in Virginia. Students are divided into groups and do many science related activities - including sieving and sifting, identifying organisms that live near dunes, and learning about the marsh environment. The best part of Wallops is going in the mud!"
