[/quote] I hit a wall at every social gathering. A point where I can no longer make conversation and I can't fake it I usually go into another room and look at my phone or take a nap. It's harder at my parents apartment because there's nowhere to go. Next time I think I'll just go to the car. Thanks for the idea! I love Irish goodbyes too. I remember the exact night in my 20s when it dawned on me that I could just leave a social gathering without a big goodbye. It felt so freeing! [/quote]
