My child is in, His iready are above 95% with great cogat / nnat scores.

But his HOPE score was 2 often, 4 sometimes, 4 rarely and 1 never.  I was raging mad when I got his package back in March, luckily he got in so I don't need to talk to his teacher about it.

Thank you very much for this! My kid has 158 NNAT 152 cogat 99% 97% iready but got rejected. I just got the HOpe score 3 offen and 8 sometimes. I am so mad. I guess there is nothing I can do other than prepare more work sample to appeal [/quote]

Not sure why they would not accept this kid.  What pyramid?  None of that subjective HOPE stuff should matter with scores that good AND demonstrated achievement via iReady.  They should do an analysis, which will show a lot of inconsistency in these decisions.

Our aart teacher said scores are a minimum factor in the evaluating process about 1/5[/quote]
