NP. How is the vide different specifically? We have Clemson and UofSC on my DS’s list but we haven’t visited. Clemson seems rural and somewhat isolated and UofSC seems more urban and integrated into a city. Is this correct? [/quote]

DP-yes. Aside from location they are both large southern universities. Most students prefer one to the other, but to say they are totally different is wrong. [/quote]

My sister transferred from UofSC to Clemson for undergrad.   I think she’d agree the vibe is very different.  I have a grad degree from UofSC and know most of my SC peers probably also felt that way.  I think Clemson has much more of a campus/college town vibe.  [/quote]

The UofSC undergrads that I knew when I was in grad school there referred to Clemson as a “cow college” because of their veterinary science programs.  There are a lot of kids at UofSC who consider themselves WAY too cool to go to Clemson.  [/quote]
