The UofSC undergrads that I knew when I was in grad school there referred to Clemson as a “cow college” because of their veterinary science programs. There are a lot of kids at UofSC who consider themselves WAY too cool to go to Clemson.

Is there a lot to do on/around the UofSC campus? My dd would prefer a city environment so to me this sounds like a plus for UofSC.

My sister is really not a city person (not that Columbia is much of a city), and she said she felt less safe on the UofSC campus. I (male) wasn’t aware of the UofSC campus feeling dangerous and I don’t recall hearing anything like that during my grad program from fellow students. I do think that Clemson has more of a college town feel.
