Maybe he got into his lower ranked choice (let’s say Walls) but then got off the waitlist later and was admitted to his higher ranked choice (Banneker).  That is a way a student could get into both.  And probably the only way.[/quote]

DC's friend got into SWW first even though Banneker was ranked higher. They got a call in summer from the waitlist for Banneker and enrolled. [/quote]

Yeah, that was a weird comment. Dare to consider that Walls isn't everyone's first choice for a variety of reasons. Also, schools don't know how you've ranked them. It's not like a competitive school is able to exclude qualified students who rated them #2 instead of #1.[/quote]
