My oldest quit HS after sophomore year and went to MLSNext.  Too hard to juggle demands of HS coach, too much injury/poor play and not enough hours in the day for straight As with lots of AP courses in the most important junior year.  MLSnext schedule was easy to balance with school.  Get home at 3pm.  Practice 7:30-9pm. Predictable. Weekend games.  HS was all over the board 5-6 days per week and sometimes would arrive at school at 7am and not get home until 10pm (and was supposed to be juggling Club too).  It is just not healthy. High risk of injury.

Younger one is quitting HS soccer at same time--but an ECNL player.  Fall season is the most important time for VA club and his HS is Fall season.[/quote]
