It is still a class taken for high school credit. I don’t know of any public high school districts that don’t consider algebra I a class you receive high school credit for, regardless when taken. It is also a credit that is mandatory for high school graduation [/quote]

That's a totally uninteresting technical detail. In MD, for example, 4 years (not credits!) of math are required, regardless of which "high school" classes are taken in middle school.

World Language 1 also grants HS credit, despite being taught to millions of elementary schoolers. [/quote]
