These are decided by different committees too.[/quote] Step one: Admissions to UMD - congratulations she's in Step Two: Accepted to CS, almost impossible. Scholarships: Based on her merit. Merit aid is decided in a very different method than admissions. UMD doesn't have a ton of merit aid to give. So your student has received many positive acknowledgments of her academic talent from UMD. [/quote]
