Really, OP? I find MoCo too progressive, and so does my Dem spouse. Cops not allowed to pull over people for some violations while driving, like dark tinted windows because it impacts mostly certain groups. Repeat violent kids allowed back in schools because it impacts mostly certain groups, but also hurts that same group the most. Allowing illegal immigrant criminals to roam free on our streets, mostly impacts lower/middle income people. Moco is way too soft on crime. If it wasn't so soft on crime, I might agree with you.
Question regarding MD QOL- Since decriminalization, DC reeks of pot..to the point that for that alone we are thinking of moving. It reeks everywhere, doesn't matter the neighborhood. The writing is on the wall that pot will be decriminalized nationwide, so the nuisance factor comes down to where the ordinances against public smoking, nuisance smoke shops etc are enforced or not. In DC, it's a "not" How is MD? I haven't noticed the clouds coming from people/cars where I've been there, but I don't live there. What's it been likes since you all decriminalized, and why?
I have noticed no change. People who smoke pot in Sligo Creek or Northwest Branch parks, they procured it before it was legal. The only difference is now we collect tax revenue from it. Most people who were interested in purchasing legal cannabis purchased edibles so that makes no nuisance as far as smell goes.
