I don’t understand the “no” chorus because their reasoning seems overly dramatic and illogical. Be sincere OP and I think you’ll be fine. No future boss is waiting to judge you and think your request is strange. I really cannot imagine a boss turning down this suggestion or thinking it’s strange. But if meeting doesn’t work for them for some reason, I’m sure they’ll say no tactfully. [/quote]
