It's for suburban folks who want to avoid the city and are happy GC moved from its previous location. Nice school for average kids.
What co-ed MD schools (so not SJC) have a similar profile- nice campus, active student life (athletics, service, and extracurriculars), STEM, AP/IB, diverse and decent enough sized that kids can find a strong social group? My DC is a couple of years from HS, but all of my friends with HS aged kids only talk about GC or SJC and I don't feel like driving into DC. The other co-eds I'm somewhat interested in are K-12s with much smaller upper schools, so the distinctions are more obvious.
