Obviously great placement at FAANG and similar.

But I have yet to meet someone that did CS for four years at CMU and had a good time.

I agree with you. She went to selective HS and might have prepared her for the challenge but it is going to be wait and see if she gets in. The problem even with good stat and being women and URM there is no clear path to which school she might get in so trying to see if ED2 gives her advantage than RD. One thing I read about CMU is they have good career outcome and guide students very well.[/quote]

Career outcomes for CS grads from CMU are outstanding.

But as for the experience, for a girl, eh.

We seriously looked at it for a white boy. And noped out.
