You want the county to do more expensive things while reducing the amount of revenue available to the county to pay for those expensive things.

Reducing taxes may negatively impact the budget in the short term but Moco is bleeding high income individuals to VA.

I work at a large PE firm downtown and less than 10% of my firm lives in MD. All but 5 of the managers and above live in VA.

The law firm partners prefer MD. I'd guess that if you looked at any of the top law firms in DC, the breakdown for the partners not in DC would be 75% in MD versus 25% in VA. It feels like Chevy Chase and Bethesda have a law firm partner in every other house.[/quote]

Because its a 15-20 min commute down Mass Ave from Kenwood, Westmoreland Hills, Sumner, etc.
