Admissions is super competitive for 9th grade and the kids all have a track record of academic excellence. By contrast, the lifers were admitted based on a two hour WPSII test and a play date when they were 3 or 4 years old (as well as based on the pedigree and bank accounts of the parents LOL), and it's overall, a less impressive group.
