It triggers migraines.
This is a myth that’s been disproven 1000 times.
No it hasnt!
Correct. Some people are sensitive to MSG. Some are not. Some people can have dairy. Some cannot. Some can tolerate caffeine. Some cannot.
The structure of msg is a sodium ion bonded to glutamic acid. When you eat it, the sodium detaches and your gut absorbs the glutamic acid. The glutamic acid is identical to glutamic acid found in chicken, dairy, cabbage, spinach, etc. Absolutely identical. So if you are sensitive to msg, you should also avoid all foods containing glutamic acid. No more milk, yogurt, beef, pork, ricotta, tomatoes, nuts, mushrooms, corn, potatoes, seafood. Pretty much all plant and animal sources of protein. Also, anything that has yeast or soy extract. But don’t worry, even if you manage to find foods to subsist on that are glutamate free, you will be reassured that your body knows better than you, and will make its own glutamate in order to survive.
i do have to avoid or limit nuts, legumes, anything soy (majorly), yeast, some wheat, some wines, some cheeses, and a few other things. I haven’t had trouble with other dairy, beef, pork, ricotta, mushrooms, corn, potatoes or most seafood.
Try eliminating chicken, all other poultry, dairy, pork, beef, mushrooms etc, and see if that makes you feel better. And you can also acknowledge that the vast majority of people are able to eat all of the above as well as msg, soy and yeast extracts, etc. Your situation is very different from people who eat all of the above, but claim that msg, and msg alone, causes them problems.
