There is a TikTok interview with one of the other players (I think Chad maybe, I can’t remember now) who said that this drama was all editing. Ashely didn’t try to reneg. She was having hesitations and for some reason Trey decided to keep going. And then they edited it together to make it look like she was backing out.

Which explains why none of the other players were upset with her. Ashley even said something to Mai in the most recent episode about Mai being in the far back and misinterpreting whatever was going on.

As a side note, did anyone else pick up on Mai being from Fairfax County? I wonder if anyone from DCUM will run into her IRL.
