We were just at a restaurant last night and had this problem. The waitress offered to bring a real menu but we didn’t want to cause a fuss because it was a busy night. The QR menu was so stupid. We only had one phone between the 3 of us because my DD is too young for one and I left mine at home. Every category (drinks, cocktails, entrees, etc) had a separate tab, so it took forever for the 3 of us to click back and forth in each category and then pass the phone around. By the end, we vowed to always ask for the real menu. It was a tedious waste of our time- we were at a restaurant to spend time together, not huddle around like we were getting late-night takeout.
This! I hate the QR code because then we're wasting a lot of time clicking through the tabs on our phones. Plus the print too small, so we have to expand and scroll side to side as well. It was a real buzzkill when we went out to dinner with another couple. First time we went out with them and we had this long, awkward silence while we all tried to navigate it. We shouldn't need to take out our phones when we're going out to socialize.
