Serious question: If the results don't come back until the next school year, are these tests meant to be a gauge for the school/MCPS overall vs a student level assessment? In other words, if my student is struggling, will MCPS adapt to help my kid in the following school year based on these (and other) tests? Or is it more of a report card for the system?
I never heard MCPS say the test is flawed. More of a report card for the system. And because MCPS does so terribly on the tests, they delay the release of the scores to parents as long as possible (and talk about how “flawed” the test is). Teachers have other indicators to help figure out where your DC is.
