I think Biden's poor messaging and lack of diplomacy with the war in Gaza is a huge part of the problem. Yes, Biden should have publicly and privately supported Israel BUT he did not have to offer unconditional public approval.  Also, Biden himself did not have to visit Israel, Blinken's visits were sufficient. Biden could have offered support without undermining our international standing and inflaming tensions in Arab countries many of which we also need. Support for Israel should not come at the cost of our own standing particularly when there is such flagrant violation of international laws. I think people expected that foreign relations was a core strength of Biden and instead he has handled this entire situation with utter lack of nuance. [/quote]

Yes to the above. Some of his comments that he did not have to say that came across as uncaring and dismissive:

Calling himself a Zionist.
The "other team" comment.
The "shoot straight" comment.
The No confidence in the numbers of Palestinians killed comment.

He has lost the Arab American vote.

They could get behind a different Democratic candidate. Not Joe.
