Ax has been wrong a lot. He's wrong on this.
I agree with poster above about WHAT other position should Biden have taken? Like WHAT would a majority of Democrats and Independents get behind? Be specific. Just writing on an anonymous board that Biden made a mistake is so easy. Come on big guy, give your take.
I think Biden's poor messaging and lack of diplomacy with the war in Gaza is a huge part of the problem. Yes, Biden should have publicly and privately supported Israel BUT he did not have to offer unconditional public approval. Also, Biden himself did not have to visit Israel, Blinken's visits were sufficient. Biden could have offered support without undermining our international standing and inflaming tensions in Arab countries many of which we also need. Support for Israel should not come at the cost of our own standing particularly when there is such flagrant violation of international laws. I think people expected that foreign relations was a core strength of Biden and instead he has handled this entire situation with utter lack of nuance.
Yes to the above. Some of his comments that he did not have to say that came across as uncaring and dismissive:
Calling himself a Zionist.
The "other team" comment.
The "shoot straight" comment.
The No confidence in the numbers of Palestinians killed comment.
He has lost the Arab American vote.
They could get behind a different Democratic candidate. Not Joe.

I agree. Biden has really messed up with his response to Israel and there is no way to come back from it. That situation will only get worst. Ideally the republicans impeach, remove him from office and bar him from running/serving again. That would rally the democrats but remove Biden from the ticket.
Biden has not messed up the response to israel. The far left of the Democratic Party has lost its mind.
Oh yes he has. He lost 14% in the polls after his Israel trip. Another candidate could steer the party is away from Israel to a more favorable position with the American people.
There isn't another viable Preident or Presidential candidate who would do any less than Biden has on Israel. Interestingly, today's readout suggested some cease-fire zones within Gaza, so you are already seeing Biden's influence to help ease things there.

Right now, even with interest rates being high and hopefully inflation behind us, Biden is polling poorly on the economy at 3.9% unemployment. If the rate hikes lead to a recession next year, god help us. It'll be a disaster for him.

So, yeah, complain all you like about biden, but IMHO, he's the only show in town.
Unfortunately, Biden as a candidate in 2024 is more likely to lose to Trump than he is to beat him in the same manner as 2020. Trump is a very, very beatable candidate and it wouldn't be difficult for someone perceived as a more fit candidate to beat him. This is becoming increasingly obvious everyday and those of us that are paying attention to what poll after poll is telling us are as concerned as Axelrod.
You have no basis for saying that
