I've been following Ashton for a few years, back when she was cluster rep for the RM cluster, and she has always been polished.

Honestly, voting on "personality", in the sense of skills/background/approach is about all you can do for this election.  There doesn't seem to be a lot of distinction in policy stance.  That is why I am voting for the candidates who have the most applicable skills/experience, and seem to be able to communicate and represent themselves (and hopefully the city) capably, competently, and collaboratively.  Hard to discern from what is out there, but some rise to the top....[/quote]
