Social class is more important than economic class. Well educated and cultured newlyweds might be poor and have debt from schooling, but they’ll likely end up fairly wealthy by middle age.
This is spectacularly false. The world abounds with well educated and cultured people who are downwardly mobile.
They choose not to invest and be upwardly mobile. I did all that on minimum wage. I had someone tell me that they will enjoy working forever and just use up all the money they make. My minimum wage job was robbing me my physical and mental health. It was do or die. Once the investments hit $100k, it double over and over again. I don't know why people don't do it. At time I thin the higher income is the reason. They go for the house instead of investments. House can be a money pit. I didn't quality for a mortgage and now I don't want to any time soon.
