And this is why I won’t be policing my kids’ outfits. I grew up like your family. Judged for everything all the time. It does a huge number on your self esteem and generally conditions you to judge people nonstop. It’s very unhealthy.

We talk about what outfits Are appropriate where (don’t wear that dress to see grandma), but if my kid wants to wear an outfit I don’t like to homecoming?  Go for it! Her outfits are not the way we pass on our values. [/quote]
