The folks who run the Ward 3 party are not moderate.  They are young socialists and aging hippies. The realization that the defund the police movement has brought the city to the brink and led to the deaths of thousands of black and brown people around the country is too much for them to fathom and threatens their entire understanding of the world and their role in it. What are you talking about? DC is full of ideological dems, with no ability to think in any way other than party lines. And this is why we are in the state we are. Moderates are not welcome here and our voices are drowned out by the claims of defund police and equity. It is so frustrating. Even moreso because quite honestly, the moderates I know are less elitist and, without the white savior racist overtones of the socialists now running this city.[/quote]
