Is this for a certain age? 11+? Our lsc (not on east coast) has a team travel option for 11+, but it’s not mandatory. My kid didn’t want to travel with the team last year and the team said no problem. We stayed in a different hotel and made our own travel plans. My kid likes to nap between sessions, so the team travel would have been hard for him. [/quote]

Mandatory for VA too, and includes 10 and unders. Crazy to me that people were comfortable letting their 9 and 10 year olds do this. We went last year when it was family travel and it was great, but I didn’t let my kid attend this year. [/quote]

Pp. Wow, I’m surprised this was for as young as 10U. It’s a long meet for them to be without a parent. Wonder what the reasoning is? For our lsc, they offered team travel for 11+ to let working parents off the hook, but honestly, no one wanted the responsibility and work involved in supervising the 10u kids, so it wasn’t even offered. Once we went into the meet, all the kids went to their team area where parents were not allowed, so they were spending all day with the team anyway. [/quote]
