In most public and private schools, the weighted GPA is calculated based on the grade in the course, not the score on the exam. Many kids take AP classes for the GPA bump, and but do not take the exam, because it does not help with weighted GPA. Definitely cancel low scores. Cancellation is free and can be done at any time, with perhaps a certain processing time, so don't do it at the last minute before sending a score report. *If you do not wish to cancel, there is a fee to withhold a score from the report sent to colleges and universities.* [/quote]
