Smart is important, smart AND a demonstrated work ethic is the whole package.[/quote] +1000 Plenty of kids have no interest in sports or real ECs, but are happy to work 20+ hrs/week. It shows dedication and strong work ethic. Many kids cannot afford to do anything but work---if they want a car or to drive a car they have to pay gas and insurance, or for the vehicle itself. If they want to hang out at the movies, they need spending money. Nothing wrong with working rather than running the glee club or robotic club, if you have no interest in those[/quote]
