No way should you do anything about it. As long as it is mowed, that is fine. We have a lawn service mow our lawn but I only want organic fertilizers and things used, so guess what, we have weeds. It doesn't look bad b/c it is mowed short regularly. We have an annoying neighbor who keeps pointing out the "weeds" in our front yard and asking if I need him to pick them. Well those "weeds" were purchased at Johnson's & planted by our landscaper & were not cheap, so to each their own. Also wanted to add that we do the non-pesticide route for the same reason, 2 toddlers & 2 small dogs. 2 summers ago we spent the weekend at friends house who had a perfectly manicured, gorgeous lawn. Well that sunday night we ended up at the 24 hr vet after my dog had a seizure, & my dog was in liver or kidney distress (can't remember). He had to be at the vet w/ an iv for almost a week and the tests came back positive for some type of herbicide. He had spent most of the weekend in the yard & then regularly washed his paws by licking them. He almost died, and we were stuck w/ a several thousand dollar vet bill. I have no interest in exposing my dogs or toddlers to that type of stuff. OP stick w/ your gut & ignore the neighbor.
