And, since you say you have had cats before, you know that when cats look at you, they are not plotting your demise.  That's just plain silly. You sound like a person who is not used to cats, but just threw that part in there to try to convince us.  I don't buy it.

Lastly, if you were as familiar with cats as you say you are, you'd know that some cats can get over-stimulated easily, so, even though they invite you to pet them or rub on them, they can turn quickly on a dime and panic and try to bite your hand.  It's just like if someone were tickling you:  at first you'd be like, "That's so funny!" but you could turn on a dime and be like, "Stop! Stop!  Stop!"  You have to watch their (the cat's) body language and only touch them where they are not sensitive.  And, plus, if you know your cat is particularly apt to be sensitive, just don't touch them like that.

Again, I really do not think it's hard to read cats' body language or get to know them if you are used to cats  I feel sorry for your cat if you have had them this long and yet their behavior seems to be such a clueless inigma to you, such that you are ascribing such (false) ill intentions to him/her.  Sigh.  Sad.   [/quote]
