I've had trouble with this too. I have [whispers] 10 library cards. I swear they're all legit . . . places where we have a home or reciprocity with our home system, or jurisdictions in Virginia that allow all Virginia residents to get a card. Anyway, it's been frustrating to see Overdrive going away. I use the "recommend" feature all the time. I'm slowly getting the hang of using Libby for my holds, and it does have some advantages, like being able to see which library has the shortest wait very easily. But I have a whole system . . . the library that has the best selection and will basically buy anything I recommend (it's where our family beach house is, so it has a small population but large tax base) only allows 10 holds and 10 check-outs. So I save that one for my more obscure books. It often has the shortest line, but if it's a popular book widely available, then I'd choose a longer line with another library to save those spots. Figure out the recommendation thing, Libby, and I'll forgive you.
You are a person after my own heart. I am a resident of Maryland and I have cards for all of the counties that are open to all Maryland residents (unless it's a county that uses the consolidated Maryland Digital Library because I only need that once) + DC.
