The Second Amendment was ratified in 1791 to permit state militia to own and bear firearms for the purpose of fighting against a tyrannical government. The primary weapon available at that time was the single-shot musket. Amendments were meant to be revised with the times and it's been 232 years. Also cue someone saying we should ban knives and scissors too. [/quote]
