[/quote] This is always the over reactionary knee jerk comment. No one is saying get rid of ALL guns. The Second Amendment was ratified in 1791 to permit state militia to own and bear firearms for the purpose of fighting against a tyrannical government. The primary weapon available at that time was the single-shot musket. Amendments were meant to be revised with the times and it's been 232 years. Also cue someone saying we should ban knives and scissors too. [/quote]
