No matter how much I work out my lower body, it never gets toned. We all have different bodies. I have very toned arms and Abs.
You aren't doing it right then. Clearly the thousands of other weight lifters who do leg and butt workouts and who see results prove whatever you're doing is wrong. If you are truly working out your lower body and cannot see results in your hamstrings, glutes, and quads, that's 100% on your workout.
Nope. Bodies are different, as a PP said. I’m a mid-40s women who builds muscle easily and looks “jacked” in my upper body and core (as per the many “do you CrossFit” comments I get when I wear tank tops). My legs wouldn’t be that defined absent an obsessive focus on reducing my body fat to unhealthy levels since, like many women, that’s where my fat accumulates. Again: bodies are different, largely due to genetics. Workouts and reasonable diets, especially ones for non-professional athletes, only get you so far.
I am your twin. I am also very jacked on the upper body but I would have to be in mid teens for body fat percentage to see any leg definition. And I squat and deadlift well into the 200s at 140lbs body weight.
