OP here. I'm from NYC and go back on average once a month to visit friends and family. I've been to Miami and Vegas many times when I was in my 20's. I actually just got back from a 3 day bachelorette party in Vegas. When I was in college and grad school, I'd often do long weekend getaways to Europe.

I almost forget what that feels like since we've basically been doing Disney, Sesame Place type vacations for the past few years.

I am looking for someplace romantic. Ideally I'd like both a beach and culture. DH threw out Monaco. I'm interested in the French Riviera but with layovers, we would lose 2 days on travel alone. We have both been to Europe several times but only once together (Italy). We have both spent very little time in Canada. Am researching Vancouver.[/quote]
