How? There are hundreds of kids that don’t get admitted for ninth grade. Are you just suggesting that by calling and pestering you can get admitted for 10th? I suggest you post this on the MCPS board and see his they laugh you out of the place. It’s not even practical as there is no way to just pick up the rest of the cohort in 10th and catch up with where they are.[/quote]

My neighbor who is a college professor had a colleague move to the area the summer before 11th grade. They were told it wasn't possible but he said they were able to make it happen with persistence. Their home school may also have been Blair.[/quote]

What likely happened is the home school was Blair and they joined Blair in 11th and were able to take magnet electives as are any Blair students in 11th grade that meet the prerequisites and get accepted to that class. That’s not the same as being in the magnet.[/quote]
