If someone wants to study computer science for example, realistically they should be picking Georgia Tech or UIUC over say Yale or Harvard or Duke or UPenn. I'm sure kids do that, but a lot of kids will pick the well-rounded private schools just for the strong undergraduate attention and connections in other fields if interests change. I think statistically the vast, vast majority of undergrads change their major or intended post-graduate plans during college.[/quote]
