Nope, mine was bought in 2021. I was confused by what I read online which is why I emailed them like you. You’ll be fine with buying that harness. The bottom part of the baby set on the seat was really hard to get off  it I used a screwdriver to pry it out. I wanted the harness so my kid couldn’t escape. [/quote]

Hi there, I'm in the same dilemma with OP and haven't found a solution. Would you mind sharing picture of how you attached the current stokke 5 pt harness (https://www.stokke.com/en-qa/accessories/tripp-trapp-accessories/1005.html)  to the chair? Idk which version I have since the harness came with the baby set and like OP, I'd like to use it without the baby rail but WITH the harness... Thank you in advance for your help.[/quote]
