It’s hard to understand what’s happening to Matt. It’s like a later in life crisis.  His language is peppered with all the progressive buzzwords that 20 year olds use.  He didn’t use to speak like that. He’s been around the block enough to know the criminal code rewrite is a disaster and yet he joined the rest of the council in soiling themselves on the national stage.  His push for affordable housing at all costs is noble, but will further exasperate overcrowded Ward 3 schools, yet he offers no solutions. If he won an at-large seat I could see getting behind a pro-criminal, anti-Ward 3 school platform, but that’s not the job he ran for.  And now he bogarts a nobody ANC reps campaign sign.  [/quote]

He was pretty upfront during the election that he supported the crime reform bill, more affordable housing in the Ward and a generally left, though not fully progressive agenda. If people are upset about Matt, then they weren't listening during the campaign.
