You're perturbed at an old woman, who may be lonely, likes your children? What is going on with this world? This has never disturbed me. I am grateful and thankful for anyone who shows my child kindness.
I know, right?!
I'm a former educator and sometimes I saw this with staff members. They just had a connection or liked a particular student. I saw one teacher kiss and hug her fav girl student. It's sort of like a grandma role that they take on. When I was young, there were various older people who didn't kiss me, but I definitely got a lot of hugs and a lot of older folks invested in me by talking with me. I guess it depends where and how you grow up. But in general, no one in school is supposed to be putting their hands on the students but usually this is bc they might hit them or hurt them.
