So my kid told the coach to Coach's face that the lineup was unsafe to themselves and others. My kid did so knowing the coach was vindictive.

Sure enough Coach responded by kicking my kid and the other ones off the team, then lying to tournament officials and other coaches about why there wasn't an entry. Three days after the competition the school parted ways with the coach, and my kid got to compete one more time in the invitational with a qualified lineup. But my kid went forward knowing that they'd suffer tangible consequences for protecting their own teammates and the other teams as well.[/quote]
