How will he get to school and activities during the week? If the parents and the nanny cart him around, you won't need another car. If it seems like it will be easier logistically for him to drive himself around, you'll need another car. My parents got a 3rd car for me part way through my junior year. I lived out of the school boundaries so no school bus, both parents worked, I had to get to school. Even if I could ride the bus, I had a job after school, and hung out with friends a lot. I can't imagine my parents having to drive me everywhere. And I was the only kid at home by then, no other kids to haul around. [/quote]
